Follow the instruction to begin a new game in patapon 3.
Start a new game:
After selecting new game, you will go to uberhero's pledge and move the knife cursor above "This is my pledge" and press "X" button.
After that, Shzamm will ask your name:
After entering your name, you will select what type of uberhero you want to use. The orange is Taterazay master the sword and shield, the blue is Yarida which is a spear handler, and the green is Yumiyacha which is a bow and crossbow handler.
I choose Yarida, look at the screen shots below.
